Cleaning
"Our floors look great; we get so many compliments, especially from people who know what they looked like before!" ~ Julee Wheeler
Our techniques will greatly improve the look and substantially increase the protection and durability of stone, tile, concrete, and grout, but they cannot be expected to bring the surface back to its original specifications. In natural materials, an aging process occurs, which changes their appearance slightly. Our goal is to achieve the highest-quality results possible.
Of course, once the surface has been deeply cleaned, it's always best to apply a premium sealant. (Please see our "Polish & Hone" &/or "Sealing" Pages under "Services" for more restoration techniques.)
Paver Floor Restoration
Before (left): Paver tiles show wear and tear, especially around the rug area. A huge stain was left from the previous homeowner's large rug underlayment embedding into the paver coatings.
After (right): NBR deeply cleaned the tiles, focusing on removing rug underlayment residue and grout stains. Two coats of premium urethane were applied. It's as good as new!
Limestone Patio Restoration
Before (left): This limestone deck had never been sealed, subject to extreme coastal sea-air conditions, with rainwater runoff from copper downspouts for years.
After (right): NBR deeply cleaned and sealed the deck with a solvent-based impregnator. The homeowner was amazed!
Pavers Restoration
Before (background): This "Saltillo—Mexican Paver" patio was heavily coated with a dingy urethane and had years of dirt and grime.
After (foreground): NBR power washed, steam cleaned, and chemically/mechanically scrubbed to strip off all the old urethane. The tiles were then re-sealed with a superior solvent-based, breathable urethane. Notice the beautifully revived colors!
Exterior Limestone Restoration
Before (left): Exterior limestone without maintenance presents an organic buildup of moss, tannins, pollens, and lichen.
After (right): Exterior limestone was high-heat power washed and sealed with a premium, solvent-based impregnator, which helps protect against ultraviolent light damage, temperature changes, damaging stains, and prolonged water contact. Our premium sealants also help stone bonding and improve maintenance for easier removal of surface contaminants.
Limestone Shower Restoration
Before (left): Limestone tile shower presents substantial organic buildup and mineral deposits due to inappropriate maintenance and cleaning products.
After (right): NBR deeply cleaned via specialized limestone chemical agents and allowed sufficient drying time. NBR then applied premium, solvent-based impregnator sealant for increased protection and easier maintenance.
